I've Got personaliTEA!

Thank you SP! You're the best! My adagio tea package arrived last night, via FedEx (thank you), and I picked it up this morning on my way to work. I can't wait to dive into the black loose leaf tea samples of English Breakfast, Irish Breakfast, Earl Grey Bravo and Yunnan Jig. They smell wonderful right out of the box. My personaliTEA teapot and infuser will be put to good use and added to my small but growing teapot collection. Thank you so much SP, you've truly made my day! Will you please reveal yourself now...the suspense is killing me! ;-)

The Case of the Missing Blog

For the handful of devout readers who give my blog a once over, it's been MIA for the past few days due to something screwy with Blogger. My entire dashboard and template disappeared so now I have to redo all the HTML code for my favorite links on the sidebar. I'll have to lay my needles down in order to "crack the code" and get my blog back up to par. Maybe I'll revamp it a bit or I'll just do the predictable thing and keep it the same. ;-)

Happy 35th Birthday to Me!

Your Birthdate: March 19

You are resilient, and no doubt your resilience has already been tested.
You've had some difficult experiences in your life, but you are wise from them.
Having had to grow up quickly, you tend to discount the advice of others.
You tend to be a loner, having learned that the only person you can depend on is yourself.

Your strength: Well developed stability and confidence

Your weakness: Suspicion of others

Your power color: Eggplant

Your power symbol: Spade

Your power month: October

Today is not only my birthday but my baby sister's as well; she's 14 years my junior coming in to her own at a fresh 21 years of age. I tease her a lot and tell her she was our families surprise blessing in disguise. It's been amazing watching her grow up. She reminds me a lot of myself when I was searching, seeking trying to find out who I am and where I fit in this world. Would I want to be 21 again-not for all the tea in China. I've come to appreciate who I am at this age and stage in my life. With each year that God graces me to live and breath on this earth, I'm thankful for the woman I've become. It took a while for me to learn to be comfortable in my own skin. I guess age has a way of doing that to you.

Although my day was spoiled by rain, which flooded most of the DFW Metroplex, I spent it inside the tranquil and cozy atmosphere of the Elizabeth Arden Spa--a special treat from my best friend. We each had a facial, massage, manicure and pedicure. It was heaven on earth. I left this oasis feeling pampered and a bit spoiled. A girl could easily get used to the finer things in life.

SP's Crocheted Soap Bag

This just happens to be my favorite item out of the whole package. Thanks for taking the time to make it for me. What an ingenious idea! ;-)

Thank You Secret Pal! :-)

My SP is the best! She's spoiled me with a treasure trove of goodies that I can't wait to delve into. When I picked up the package at the post office the sweet aroma from her handmade soaps smelled delicious.
(Soap bios clockwise from top: Orange Layers is Terra Scub, Brown Flecks is Oatmeal & Honey, Orange Heart is Berry Romance, Bath Bombs, Purple Celtic Knot is Juniper, Orange Flower is Sandalwood, and Blue Bar is Spanish Rain)

The candles are already being put to good use. My home smells like a tranquil spa. I loved the purple box so much I had to take a photo of it. Presentation is everything!

And the yarn...if you keep spoiling me with such high-quality fibers, Lion Brand and Red Heart are going to pull my "ghetto knitter" card. I can't wait to put the Knit Picks Merino in Hollyberry and Grignasco's Merino Gold in this beautiful royal blue on the needles...maybe I'll pull out my double-points and make an attempt at some knitted socks.
