Okay, so my LYS, The Knitting Nook, started a block of the month club for 2006. We're knitting 12 squares each month into a sampler afghan courtesy of Leisure Arts' 60 Easy-to-Knit Pattern Stitches. January's block is called a Double Parallelogram. I'm using my circular size 8's and developing some "yarn snob" characteristics and splurging on Plymouth Yarn's Encore in Burgundy Heather.

Norma, our instructor, is very encouraging and patient. Just pray I don't bail out on this project before it's completion. Knitting is always fun, it's the finishing and blocking that are a pain.
