This baby shower gift was finished within a week's time. Taken from Debbie Macomber's,
The Shop on Blossom Street Knit Along book, it was double-knitted using Caron's Simply Soft 12 oz skeins of Berry Blue and White on size 11 needles. The border was knit on size 11 circulars with a yarn over increase to give the corners a lacy effect. I liked how quick this knit up and the seaming in the end wasn't such a beating.

I found a card with a nautical little boy's theme and included a rolodex card with care and handling instructions and some leftover yarn (I got that little tip from one of my knitting magazines). The mom-to-be loved it!
