1 Skein + 4 Needles + 1 Frog = 1 Sock

One down, one to go! I did it, I did it! Because I'm bad, I'm bad...no really I am bad! LOL! My one sock is baggy around the toes and I have a small hole somewhere around the gusset but I love it. Somebody stop me I'm on a roll.

My poor aluminum DPNs have taken a beating. All the paint is chipping off the tips. Do any of you master sock knitters experience this with your DPNs? I may need to invest in a set of bamboo needles. Just another excuse to run to my LYS.

1st Time Sock Knitter...maybe!

My first attempt at sock knitting has been a very pleasant experience so far. I found Lion Brand Magic Stripes Bright Spring on clearance at Garden Ridge. Once I bought it, I got the itch to stitch and joined the 1st Time Sock Knitting KAL. The online tutorials have been helpful and written in laymen's terms for amateurs such as myself. After I got into the groove of using my size 3 double points, the awkard feeling in my hands subsided. The 2x2 ribbing was smooth sailing, but upon closer inspection, I've noticed that I have combined two sets of K2 ribbing in the back of my work. Then came the turning of the heel or the taming of the shrew as I'd like to call it. I can't quite put my finger on what I've done with the heel/heel flap, but I don't think it's right. So now I'm at the tinking vs. frogging crossroads. Either way, I can't wait to finish this pair and see the fruits of my labor. This could be the start of a new obsession.

More Dishcloths

The dragonfly pattern is courtesy of Coarine. I didn't block it so the image is a bit difficult to see. Trust me, if you stare at it long enough, it will come (Coarine has a much better pic on her blog). My boss loves dragonflys so I knit this up and gave it to her as a gift. She didn't fire me so I assume she likes it. I used Peaches & Cream cotton yarn in Baby Green on size 7 needles.

Thanks for being so generous with your design Coarine!

This pattern was a part of my Monthly Dishcloth KAL for April. The pattern was knit with Lily Sugar 'n Cream cotton yarn in Over the Rainbow with size 7 needles.

My Bloginality is ISTP!!!

You are an ISTP!

As an ISTP, you are Intraverted, Sensing, Thinking, Perceiving.
This makes your primary focus on Introverted Thinking with Extraverted Sensing

This is defined as a SP personality, which is part of Carl Jung's Artisans (Sensation Seeking) type, and more specifically the Crafters or Mechanics.

Because of your desire for action and independance, you will change the format of blogging or design frequently to keep it interesting and different. Your loyalty may have you reading the same blogs over a long period of time. Even though you could be easily bored with blogging, you might find that because you like following a project through, this is a good way for you to use your alone time to sort the facts you pick up through the day.
